Braddon is a Newcastle based artist, born in 1968 in Belmont, Lake Macquarie on the East Coast of Australia, where his affinity with sea began, and it has been his life with the sea that has incubated his aesthetic and informed his understanding of material, form and space.
Now, an established practicing artist, Braddon has combined his extensive education (qualifying for a Master of Fine Art in 1999) and exhibition record with his life experiences and an earnest investigation of sculpture, to consolidate a formidable arts practice that has a dual focus on Public art and gallery exhibitions / installations in Australia and Internationally.
Braddon is also a dedicated teacher, committed to passing on his skills and knowledge, drawn from his extensive experience, to students of sculpture at Newcastle Art School.
